No. Roles like Ordinary Seaman, Steward, Roustabout and Deck Cadet hire beginners. You'll need STCW Basic Safety Training and an ENG1 (or equivalent) medical before you join a vessel.
It's the international minimum safety certificate for anyone working on board: sea survival, firefighting, first aid and personal safety. Our courses prepare you for it; the certificate itself comes from an approved training centre.
